Finding our dream home!

After David recently started his new job, we were both happy to finally be able to pay off our debt in a short period of time. We have been anxiously and excitedly waiting to pay off our debt and start looking for our dream home.
David has been searching real estate websites daily looking for homes of our liking. We love the area that we are in because it's quiet, friendly, safe, and convenient for us, but it's expensive to live here. So, the frustrating part has been finding something that is affordable and perfect for us.
We recently came across a listing for a duplex in our area that is in our price range and has a lot of potential. David is in love with this place already. There would be a lot of work involved. I've been contemplating whether I want to pursue a house that we could really make our dream home with a lot of work, money, and remodeling. Or if we should continue to look for that dream house that already exists out there, ready for us to just move in.
We've made list after list of the good and bad things of both ideas. David and I both feel comfortable with the idea of buying the duplex, turning it back into a single family home, and remodeling it to our liking. The house is in good condition and we'd be able to live in the house in it's current state.
We've already been pre-approved for a loan. We're having David's cousin-in-law (Steve) do a walk through to get his opinion and thoughts. He would be the one to help us with all of the remodeling and converting the duplex back into a single family home. If all goes well with this walk through and we get Steve's blessing, we're going to put our offer in. The house has been on and off the market several times in the past year. The original price was a lot more than what it is now. Our realtor feels that we have a great chance at getting this house.
I'm excited, happy, anxious, and nervous all at the same time. Excited to finally own a home (we've been renting for 4 years now), happy to purchase new items for the new house, anxious to start making memories in a new place with my family, and nervous that I'm going to be overwhelmed with remodeling decisions and whether they're the right decisions or not!
David and I have been looking forward to the day that we'd finally have a home to call "OURS!" I'll post pics soon!

What a workout!

I am so out of shape since I got pregnant with Logan last summer. I can only handle about 15 minutes of any workout before I feel like I'm dieing. Thanks to a co-worker, I tried a Jillian Michaels workout this morning. I've had on demand for like 3 years now and never knew that her videos were on there, for FREE. Well, the workout kicked my butt. It was good though. It was simple and just my pace. I felt like I could keep up with her. I had to take some breaks to catch my breath since I'm basically a beginner all over again. I felt like I accomplished something. I just hope that I have the motivation and energy to keep up with it.
Logan slept on the couch the whole time I did my workout, which gives me hope that I'll be able to find the time to workout with 2 little ones at home.

Here we Go!!!

So, this is my very first time blogging EVER! I will try my best!
This weekend was the first in a very long time that I didn't do any housework. I sat/lounged around and relaxed with the kids all weekend. It felt great. There was laundry to be done, bathrooms to be cleaned, baby clothes to be packed away, and dishes to be done. David worked all weekend. Lily and I enjoyed the beautiful sunshine yesterday morning for the whole 2 hours that it made it's appearance, while Logan napped. We had severe thunderstorms last night, so it was a big slumber party with everyone in our bed. We enjoyed chinese takeout and homemade bagel and english muffin pizzas. The fun is over and it's time to get back to work tonight.
This is a picture of Lily and I enjoying the 2 hours of sunshine Saturday morning.

This is a picture of Logan that Lily and I took. We had fun playing around with the camera today. We created our own little backdrop with a bed sheet. It took many tries to get Logan to cooperate with positioning. He's not a big fan of "tummy time."
